All good is of God and to his glory

These pages, links, articles, and stories are designed to bring about a patriotism and love of people that comes from living and being as Jesus Christ taught us to be. He came once as a savior of men and lived a perfect life, being misunderstood by many because of misinformation spread by enemies of God's plan he was crucified. Many felt this ended Jesus reign on earth. His reign is yet to come and it is up to me to help ready this, my house for his return. The battle goes on and people are choosing sides now with their actions. My side is chosen and spoken of with the work I do here to bring to light what many would hide.

Quoting Ezra Taft Benson in An Enemy Hath Done This "I am not here to tickle your ears to entertain you. I will talk to you frankly and honestly as one who loves his country. The message I bring is not a happy one, but it is the truth, and time is always on the side of truth. A great German once said, Truth must be repeated again and again because error is constantly being preached round about us." (Goethe, 1749-1832, quoted in The Freeman, July, 1958".

Truth cannot be hidden any more for many know the truth. We, those who are given much, will repeat what we know and The Lord will give more truth as people accept, use, and need the truth. Truth has always been the enemy of wrong and can only help a caring person to make decisions. All science is based on fact and once discovered fact or truth does not change.

A favorite story of discovery is the use of aerodynamics in automobile design. Jim Hall started using and testing aerodynamic styling in wind tunnels and on his world class racing sports cars in the 1960's because of a high-speed crash he believed to be caused by poor aerodynamics. Jim started with front end spoilers to deflect air flow over the car body, added rear spoilers to create better traction. Finding that as speed increased the angle of spoiler could be moved to get the same amount of down-force he made the spoilers work in unison with the transmission. He even used inverted wings over the rear end and auxillary motors to suction air from under the car body creating an incredibly stable car. The routing of air through the body to cool brakes and engine before coming out over the body to add the downward pressures on the body was included. These principles have helped us all and have not and will not change, however will be developed more as time goes on. Jim Hall had a righteous goal, to make fast cars more safe and stable. This has given us cars that can be more gas efficient as well as stable.

Quoting The Discourses of Brigham Young as Quoted in Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Brigham Young "In a word, if "Mormonism" is not my life, I do not know that I have any. I do not understand anything else, for it embraces everything that comes within the range of the understanding of man. If it does not circumscribe everything that is in heaven and on earth, it is not what it purports to be. I want to say to my friends that we believe in all good. If you can find a truth in heaven, earth, or hell, it belongs to our doctrine. We believe it; it is ours; we claim it. The gospel) embraces all morality, all virtue, all light all intelligence all greatness, and all goodness. It introduces a system of laws and ordinances."

I cannot help but to be excited by these words, as they indicate a solution to a problem as great as any we face. The Lord provides the solution to the dangers that come and go around us. The solution is obedience to his gospel. A youth that are obedient to his teachings will be able to accomplish miraculous things. To create miracles truth is needed to teach the principles used since the creation to call down miracles when we are so inspired. Parents who live these principles give these childeren the opportunities to learn these true principles. Childeren and parents are a part of what makes this work.

God, who is a loving and caring Father of all, does not leave us alone to deal with real problems without solutions. He gives us the means to solve all we encounter. Living prophets, living scriptures, and a living and growing Church are all the most important links to him and the solutions we need. We are not mindless and are powerful when we align ourselves with gospel and true principles to live and to solve problems. All men have the light of Christ to help them know right and truth. As with muscles this gift can be neglected to the point of loss, in other words it must be exercised to develop. A separate help is the Gift of the Holy Ghost who helps us to descern good and evil as well as to learn all good things.

These pages link to other pages of great men who had a part in bringing freedom and the principle of free agency back to this earth. A much maligned and misrepresented Christopher Columbus is looked at in much more true and honest words researched and written by Earl Taylor Jr. A profetic Vision given to us by George Washington is included as an example of his goodness and key place in the restoration of the gospel. In the Journal of Discourses Orson Hyde Tells of the Angel Moroni visiting both Columbus and Washington. Other heros are Andrew Stonewall Jackson, Louis Agassiz, and Sam Houston who will be written about and most importantly quoted. I learned that a man can be misquoted and lied about in ways that can destroy a mans reputation when Evan Meacham was impeached illegally in Arizona. I now value quotes and references in all my news stories. I hope to provide you with that courtesy.

Now to quote H. Verlan Anderson will add to my expression of a desire to expose truth. In his book Many are Called but Few are Chosen he states "Perhaps never before in the history of the world has there been a greater need and a greater opportunity for fighting the battle of freedom. The weapon with which this battle must be fought and won-the truth-is in our hands. God has placed it there. He has also provided us with many miraculous devices for weilding this weapon. We have at our disposal a marvelous variety of communications facilities.
Every Latter-day Saint should thoroughly understand the fact that Satan's great weapon today is political in nature. The religion which he is so effectively espousing is the destruction of free agency by destroying the right and control of property; it is robbery by government. We should know from what our prophets have told us that Communism, Socialism, and Welfare Statism are each a part of this satanic docterine.
Knowing these vital truths, we have an immense and urgent responsibility to share this God-given knowledge with others and to use every means available to combat Satan's plan for our destruction as a Nation and as a Church.
Should we not assume our immediate responsibility? Should we not give of our time and means, and speak out while this course remains open to us. ? Or shall we wait until it becomes necessary to sacrifice our lives for the preservation of freedom, as our prophet has indicated may become necessary?" These words were written in 1967 and time has not changed the truth of them one iota.

It was before the Revolutionary War that Patric Henry said "Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!" Again it has not changed that nobel God fearing men feel this same way even though it is many years since Patric Henry pled for strong actions.

To tie these thoughts into other pages here linked to I quote from the Journal of Discourses, Volume 6, Pg.338, Orson Hyde, july 4, 1854 "In those early and perilous times, our men were few, and our resources limited. Poverty was amoung the most potent enemies we had to encounter; yet our arms were successful; and it may not be amiss to ask here, by whose power victory so often perched on our banner? It was by the agency of that same angel of God that appeared to Joseph Smith, and revealed to him the history of the early inhabitants of this country, whose mounds, bones and remains of towns, cities and fortifications speak from the dust in the ears of the living with the voice of undeniable truth. This same angel presides over the destinies of America, and feels a lively interest in all our doings. He was in the camp of Washington; and by an invisible hand, led on our fathers to conquest and victory; and all this to open and prepare the way for the Church and kingdom of God to be established on the western hemisphere, for the redemption of Israel and the salvation of the world.
This same angel was with Columbus, and gave him deep impressions, by dreams and visions, respecting this New World. Trammeled by poverty and by an unpopular cause, yet his perservering and unyeilding heart would not allow an obstacle in his way too great for him to overcome; and the angel of God helped him--was with him on the stormy deep, calmed and troubled elements, and guided his frail vessel to the desired haven. Under the guardianship of this same angel, or Prince of America, have the United States grown, increased, and flourished, like the sturdy oak by the rivers of water."
